Sam Eddy
Family Lawyer
Family law matters often involve complex financial information. Getting the details right early helps matters resolve and can reduce legal costs and stress.
Sam Eddy is a vital part of the OFRM Family Law team and how we ensure that our clients are in the best position possible to have their matters resolved smoothly and knowing that the right documents and accurate history is available and understood by all.
Sam’s eye for detail and calm manner provides significant support to our clients and our senior lawyers – he loves to dive into those bank statements or tax returns and find the details!
“A key role for a family lawyer in assisting a client is to take the complex case law and court rules and make sure that is understood by a client in a way that gives them the information but does not overwhelm them, I really enjoy when I can make that easier for a client and see the impact that has on their stress and the end result.”
Sam has worked with the team since his early days as a law student, meaning he has a depth of knowledge as well as a really practical understanding of family law.
While these days you are more likely to find Sam pounding the pavements in his new passion of long distance running, Sam is a talented cyclist, even having some professional seasons in Europe. We like to think that has given Sam some skills that are transferrable to being a lawyer – but it’s really more accurate that it means he has to endure lots of discussion from the cycling tragics in the office.
