Property transactions from November 2015 onwards cannot be completed unless identity has been fully verified by us. This is a protection to make sure whoever is dealing with a property is entitled to do so.
The Verification of Identity (VOI) process is similar to the 100-point check for a bank account in that you must provide a number of documents to prove you are who you say you are.
Early on in your matter we will identify you in our office at Level 1, 35 Queen Street, Bendigo though if that is not possible for you, you can visit your local Australia Post Outlet.
The following link will allow you to check in advance which documents you need to verify your identity. They are not necessarily the same documents you have used in other places such as your bank.
If there is more than one person involved in the property transaction, each must complate a VOI.
